Guy Maddalone: Founder and President
Guy began A New England Nanny in 1991 to help serve the needs of the Capital District for home help, childcare and eldercare. Guy is renowned in the industry as the nation’s household help expert and has written the book “How to Hire a Nanny: Your Complete Guide to Finding, Hiring and Retaining a Nanny and Other Household Help”. He speaks nationally on household help, labor, payroll, taxes and human resources and is the dependent care consultant for GE and other corporations. He has appeared on numerous TV channels and in newspaper articles nationwide. Guy lives in Clifton Park with his wife and three children, for whom he employs a nanny.
Melissa Schoonmaker: Agency Director
Melissa has been working for ANEN for 14 years, successfully placing a whole range of household employees. Originally a nanny herself, Melissa loves working with families and knows the requirements of working parents, the professional needs of caregivers and what it takes to have a successful relationship between the two. Debra Medina: Assistant Director
Debra joined the ANEN team in 2007. Debra brings intimate childcare knowledge with her to the position, having worked as a live in nanny in Westchester County, in addition to an extensive background in Customer Service. Understanding the needs of the clients as well as the caregivers, Debra's customer service background coupled with her household experience makes her a great fit for the company. Providing professional service to her many clients and caregivers, working with Debra is always a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
