Guy Maddalone: Founder and President
Guy began A New England Nanny in 1991 to help serve the needs of the Capital District for home help, childcare and eldercare. Guy is renowned in the industry as the nation’s household help expert and has written the book “How to Hire a Nanny: Your Complete Guide to Finding, Hiring and Retaining a Nanny and Other Household Help”. He speaks nationally on household help, labor, payroll, taxes and human resources and is the dependent care consultant for GE and other corporations. He has appeared on numerous TV channels and in newspaper articles nationwide. Guy lives in Clifton Park with his wife and three children, for whom he employs a nanny.
Melissa Schoonmaker: Agency Director
Melissa has been working for ANEN for ten years, successfully placing a whole range of household employees. Originally a nanny herself, Melissa loves working with families and knows the requirements of working parents, the professional needs of caregivers and what it takes to have a successful relationship between the two. Michael Maddalone: Household Payroll and Tax Advisor
Michael works with ANEN clients and with household employers nationwide, providing advice on services that help them keep up to date with household payroll, tax and human resources. A GTM household employment specialist, Michael provides consultations for tax filing that ensure 100% accuracy for clients. Michael will take care of all the hard questions you may have about the accounting and business side of employing someone in your home.
